Supply Chain Manager

ProPulse, located in Peosta, Iowa, is a recognized leader in the high pressure cleaning and hydraulic hose industry. We have doubled in size in the last 5 years, and project to double in the next 4 years. As a result, we are seeking to enhance and grow our staff to sustain our growth.

We are looking for someone to manage all aspects of materials flow and to maintain control and accuracy over all goods inventories, including all transactions, procurement, planning, scheduling, cost, warehouse, receiving, and shipping to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time. This position is also responsible to develop and manage all supplier relationships.

May occasionally have to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds; operate hand and electrical tools, when applicable, and able to read and understand basic instruction sheets.

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related fields (preferred).

  • Eight to Ten years of Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Warehouse and/or Manufacturing experience.

  • Certificate from professional supply chain organization preferred (ex. APICS or ISM)

  • Must be familiar with contract writing, international shipping, sourcing suppliers, and inventory programs.

  • Develop, implement and manage cross-functional, fully integrated planning process that incorporates make versus buy, capacity planning, scheduling, inventory, material and associated cost elements.
  • Performs analysis of customer demand, sales forecasts and historical material usage to develop and execute build to order and build to forecast plans.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional business teams to develop the best economic strategy for production planning to support customer demand.
  • Establish and implement methods and best practices related to the systems and process that support inventory forecasting, purchasing, and material control.
  • Develop and execute a sourcing strategy to meet the company’s business growth and sourcing requirements.
  • Identify, develop and manage effective relationships with existing and potential suppliers of goods and services to meet the established cost, quality and delivery targets.
  • Establish, implement, and manage system to evaluate, monitor and report supplier scorecard performance.
  • Adhere to established company policies, procedures, terms and conditions and legal matters that affect purchasing policies.
  • Coordinate and work with Sales, Quality, Engineering and Operations to ensure 100% on-time delivery by establishing and monitoring schedule to proactively identify and address any issues.
  • Responsible for accuracy of inventory counts by implementing and managing, in conjunction with Finance, an inventory control system, capable of identifying discrepancies in inventory counts and taking corrective action to guard against inconsistencies in the future.
  • Achieves financial objectives by working with management group to prepare the materials budget, schedule expenditures, analyze variances and initiate corrective actions.
  • Participates as a member of the operations team in making cross-functional operational decisions.
  • Participates in CAR meetings to resolve quality issues working with both internal and external resources.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Process Engineering and Quality to achieve cost reduction targets.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by implementing, maintaining and aligning company policies that adhere to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.
  • Trained in ISO:9001 Quality System requirements pertaining to job position.
  • Follow all policies, procedures and standard practices.

Account Specialist

The Account Specialists primarily handles the acquisition of new and current accounts. The role is responsible for analyzing, determining and planning a plan of attack to address the most crucial needs of the customer. It is the responsibility to carry out first-class customer care and service. The Account Specialist is responsible for coming up with a strategy to manage the accounts and set objectives for on-going account management. This role will interact and communicate with the clients on a regular basis to determine changing trends and preferences. The role will pro-actively research the dynamics of the accounts and “like” organizations and propose growth strategies for the client. This position will manage conflict and come up with effective negotiation and sales strategies. This role is often required to assist and provide back up support to our customer service team with daily functions such as order entry, customer follow- up, pricing updates and relaying ship dates, delays and/or other order related anomalies.

Experience and Education

  • College degree or equal experience with specialization in sales or marketing or equal work experience. (Preferred)
  • Certification courses in software such as Power Point, MS Word, Outlook and MS Excel. (Preferred)

Responsibilities include the following and any other duties that may be assigned.

  • Perform all aspects of the account management process, including (not limited to):
    • Identify and understand the requirements of new and current customers
    • Process daily transactions including quotes, orders, back orders, RMA’s, and deviations
    • Establish and develop long-term relationships with new and existing accounts
    • Maintain account management reporting through corporate CRM or excel
    • Collaborate with engineering and material teams to create customer proposals, as needed
  • Seek out and identify new business opportunities within existing accounts, initiating communication with decision makers to assess their needs and promote ProPulse products or services.
  • Track and forecast sales by customer, BOM, components, purchase orders and revenue
  • Perform annual business reviews for management and customer enlightenment
  • Prepare and present information to senior and executive level managers as needed
  • Participate in sales skills training and corporate safety as required
  • Support daily activity of the customer service group, order entry, customer contact, shipping issue, pricing updates, etc.
  • Perform other duties as required

  • The Account Specialist will need to employ good business skills, including sales and marketing and high-level Microsoft suite compatibility

  • Most importantly, a successful Account Specialist must have excellent interpersonal skills, as the primary responsibility is to establish and build relationships with others internally as well as externally

Human Resource Manager

Manages Human Resource activities and administers policies according to executive level direction. Responsible for developing and communicating the human resource policies, procedures and programs.  Provide direction for compensation, benefits, employee relations, staffing, training, safety and employment records.

Experience and Education

  • Degree in HR Management, Business Management with HR emphasis, or other related field
  • 5+ yrs. of HR Management experience, or 10+ yrs. of related work experience with progressive leadership experience
  • Possess critical thinking skills with the ability to provide guidance in challenging situations
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Must maintain confidentiality, integrity and accuracy
  • Ability to drive strategic initiatives, while maintaining tactical responsibilities
  • Solid computer skills
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule, including overtime if needed

  • Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel.
  • Develop and support efforts of creating enthusiasm and involvement throughout the company.
  • Plan, organize and control all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Lead recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-pathing program, employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing; writes and places advertisements.
  • Maintain knowledge of human resources trends and recommend implementation of pertinent activities, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop, design, and administer compensation and benefits structure for continued growth of company.
  • Responsible for maintaining all human resource related policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for assisting with the health and safety standards of local and federal agencies
  • Aid all departments regarding personnel issues and advise management in appropriate resolution of employee issues.
  • Establish and maintain department records and reports. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars.
  • Represent and lead company activities for unemployment claims.
  • Provide assistance and counsel to all employees.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Production Associate

We are looking for Associates that have good mechanical aptitude, the ability to problem solve and apply common sense to production situations.

May occasionally have to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds; operate hand and electrical tools, when applicable, and able to read and understand basic instruction sheets.

Quality

These positions assist in production, while monitoring and assuring quality products are being produced within approved standards in a safe and timely manner, while adhering to ProPulse procedures.

Motivated

Candidates must be self-motivated and able to perform tasks with minor supervision. Candidates must have ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Experience
